Passes Away Like A Boss After Life of Pure Awesome
Tucson, AZ: Champ, the notorious RWS pit bull of POSTAL franchise fame, departed this world barking and defiant Monday night after an eight-month battle with cancer. But as some famous guy didn't quite declare, we've come to praise Champ, not to bury him.
In his twelve years of canine infamy, Champ left a trail of half-eaten dudes and half crippled bitches in his wake. The original “Teflon Dog”, Champ defied the odds, managing to escape death row multiple times, even being found innocent of assault in a Pima County courtroom.
Champ is and always will be the Running With Scissors mascot, and best friend to the POSTAL franchise's titular “Dude”. Champ's resume was impressive, appearing in several games including POSTAL 2, Apocalypse Weekend, the upcoming POSTAL III and the POSTAL feature film (where he was body doubled by a union actor). In addition, the pilot for an animated series titled: “What Would Champ Do?” was produced, showcasing his unique approach to solving world problems.

Champ whisperer and RWS pack leader Vince Desi reflected: "When I think of Champ it’s like Brando, Cagney, Pacino...pure Greatness. My grandson was loyal to the bone.”
Champ truly lived life like it was made of filet. Even at the end, in addition to his favorites Filet Mignon, New York Strips and Chicken Parmegiano he was eating a half dozen 5 Guys burgers a day like a Boss. We can only assume Champ is in a better place now, boning all nine “Lassie’s” and mauling Bin Laden for all eternity. Godspeed Champ, Godspeed.
Champ is survived by his master Vinny Desi, best friend Chewy the Pug and girlfriend Sophia the Blue-Nosed Pit. You can honor The Champ by donating to his favorite charity, Forte Animal Rescue.

E' strano come in Postal 2 il Postal Dude sembri non troppo amichevole con il suo cane (ricordate il cattivissimo: "Stupid Dog!"?) mentre nel terzo capitolo si riveli molto più amichevole.
Secondo voi come mai questo cambio di comportamento? Forse perchè dopo la sua morte gli sviluppatori (o più in particolare, Vince Desi) hanno provato pena per lui?
Mmmm... avete notato che è morto due giorni prima del suo compleanno?

Bella domanda! è vero, adesso che mi ci fai pensare in Postal 2 il legame non era poi così forte...tranne che nell'AW dove lui e Champ fuggono insieme dal disastro nucleare che ha distrutto Paradise.
Nel film all'inizio gli dice "bad dog" ossia "cane cattivo", ma poi nel finale mostra di nuovo affetto per l'unico vecchio amico che si porta dietro salvandolo dalla devastazione di Paradise...come se la mano divina avesse già prestabilito che il cane e lui dovessero salvarsi...
In Postal 3 addirittura non solo ci sono missioni in cui Postal Dude DEVE combattere affiancato dal cane, ma una volta si impegna di salvarlo dalle grinfie dei Cino-messicani ed una volta anche dalla polizia.
Facendo un esame delle mie conoscienze, potrebbe essere che nel 2 Champ era un elemento "nuovo" ed ancora incerto, nel 3 invece viene già considerato un "eroe di guerra", amato da tutti e super famosissimo...c'è stata la necessità di rendergli il posto d'onore che meritava...
Non credo che abbiano fatto questa scelta perchè Champ nel frattempo è morto...anche perchè è morto che avevano già consegnato il gioco totalmente nelle mani di Akella. Da maggio a dicembre non avrebbero comunque avuto tempo a modificare la storia delle missioni...inoltre nei video vecchi si nota comunque che le missioni sono rimaste invariate.... -
